PETER SEAMER AM

FORMER CEO VICTORIAN PLANNING AUTHORITY, FORMER CEO FEDERATION SQUARE, FORMER CEO CITY OF SYDNEY AND CITY OF BENDIGO

With separate Master’s degrees in Engineering Science and Urban Planning, Peter’s career started in the planning of new towns in Australia and the UK. Much of his career was in Local Government as the CEO of four major Councils, including the City of Sydney.

Peter was the CEO of Federation Square during its construction and early operational phase and CEO of the Victorian Planning Authority for a decade from 2007 until 2017. He is an industry Fellow at RMIT and a judge for the Victorian UDIA Awards for Excellence Program..

He is currently undertaking a number of advisory roles with both Government and non-Government organisations.

He has recently published: “Breaking Point: The Future of Australian Cities” which examines ways to manage growth and make our cities more efficient, liveable and equitable.

Peter has been made a member of the Order of Australia for significant service to urban and regional planning and design, to public administration and to local Government.

 

JENNIFER CUNICH

Jennifer is a property industry leader and high-profile figure in Melbourne’s business community. She has more than 25 years’ experience in both industry associations and professional organisations, 16 of these at the CEO level.

Jennifer is a trusted and well-known advisor to government, a policy heavyweight on all matters relating to planning and property.

Having served on numerous Boards, Councils and Committees, Jennifer is highly experienced and extremely well-versed in matters of governance and reform.

Jennifer is currently a serving Board Member of the Victorian Planning Authority, AHURI (Australian Housing and Urban  Research  Institute).She  is also a committee member on the Monash University  Estates  Committee and chairs the Mid-Rise Management Group of Woods Solutions. Jennifer has previously served as a Board Member of Women’s Property Initiative, a Member of the Victorian Building Commission Advisory Council, the Victorian Building Commission Audit Committee, the Building Industry Consultative Council as well as on the Melbourne University Property Advisory Committee

 

BETTINA SHEERAN

Bettina is a partner in Maddocks Development  team, and has more  than 20 years’ experience providing property advice throughout all stages of the project lifecycle, from asset acquisition through to income realisation.

Bettina provides legal advice to a variety of public and private, listed and unlisted clients, including Stockland, Cedar Woods, Burbank and Metro Property Group. She is passionate and highly engaged with the property development industry, having previously contributed as a UDIA Board member for over 8 years, and currently sits on the Board of the Property Industry Foundation.

 

BILL KUSZNIRCZUK

DEPUTY CHAIR VICTORIAN PLANNING AUTHORITY, FORMER CHAIRMAN AND CHIEF COMMISSIONER OF THE VICTORIAN BUILDING AUTHORITY, URBAN AND TOWN PLANNER

Bill Kusznirczuk is a leading Urban and Regional Planner in Australia. He has extensive experience and knowledge in all aspects of planning, building, property development and how cities, regional  and rural areas  should  look in the future. He is the founder and Managing Director of Clement-Stone Town Planners. He was the Inaugural Chief Commissioner of the Victorian Building Authority and also sits on the board of the Victorian Planning Authority as Deputy Chair and Office of Projects Victoria.

He is a Certified Practicing Planner and Associate Fellow of the Australia Institute of Management. His valuable industry experience puts him at the forefront of advisors across Australia. He also provides his knowledge to the community, charities and on not for-profit Boards.

 

CHRISTINE WYATT

FORMER DEPUTY SECRETARY PLANNING, DELWP, FORMER EXECUTIVE GHD, TOWN PLANNING, INFRASTRUCTURE SPECIALIST

Christine is an independent adviser with substantial private sector and government executive leadership and experience in urban strategy, infrastructure deliver and governance.  As former Deputy Secretary Planning at the Victorian Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning and Department of Transport, Planning and Local Infrastructure Christine led the state’s Planning, Building and Heritage policy portfolio and regulatory systems.

Before joining the public service, Christine was a senior executive in Planning and Environment Services with global consulting firms GHD and AECOM working with public and private organisations across Australia and internationally.

She has served as an independent director on Places Victoria, Development Victoria and the Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association.
