UDIA Victoria Award for Excellence – Social and Community Infrastructure

OVERVIEW

The UDIA Victoria Award for Excellence – Social and Community Infrastructure recognises best practice in interdisciplinary design, development or renewal, and activation, of people centered places. This Award extends beyond the built form, to celebrate the integration of the natural and built environment and to foster greater human interaction.

Entries must be submitted by a local government, or State Government agency. Developers are eligible to enter if their entry is a public realm project and allows for general community use and demonstrated leadership and innovation in delivering services and/or social infrastructure developments, such as civic/community buildings, schools, and hospitals.

An individual residential development alone, is not eligible for this category.

The winner of this award is eligible for nomination into the UDIA National Awards. If nominated, you will be required to complete the UDIA National Awards criteria documentation.

Completion Criteria for UDIA Judging

To adequately judge an entry for the UDIA Awards for Excellence Program, entrants must provide to the Judging Panel sufficient evidence of the completion of a significant part of the project.

For example, single stage projects must demonstrate practical completion and sold or available for sale. Multistage projects must have at least one full stage completed and sold or available for sale, and other stages under development.
