UDIA Victoria Award for Excellence – Residential Subdivision

OVERVIEW

This award recognise a developer who have established a satisfactory relationship with nearby facilities to meet the needs of residents and users. It recognises low-density residential development, primarily land subdivision. Projects may comprise single storey, double storey detached, semi-detached and/or small-lot housing with private open space. Projects would not include a comprehensive range of facilities within the development but should have established a satisfactory relationship and integration with facilities nearby. The project needs to be completed to proceed to National.

There are two awards in this category, the size of the project or stage within the project will dictate which of the following subcategories the project may enter:

  • Residential development of more than 250 lots
  • Residential development of 250 lots or fewer

The winner of this award is eligible for nomination into the UDIA National Awards. If nominated, you will be required to complete the UDIA National Awards criteria documentation.

Completion Criteria for UDIA Judging

To adequately judge an entry for the UDIA Awards for Excellence Program, entrants must provide to the Judging Panel sufficient evidence of the completion of a significant part of the project.

For example, single stage projects must demonstrate practical completion and sold or available for sale. Multistage projects must have at least one full stage completed and sold or available for sale, and other stages under development.
